I am working as Web Designer and Developer for the last 4 years in my own design studio along with my Business/Life Partner. I had started as a graphics designer around 2001 after completing my multimedia studies in Jadavpur University, Kolkata. I got seriously interested in open source technologies and have been using Ubuntu in my office computers for a couple of years. I have not come from a total science background but am basically an artist using modern technologies and applications, and simply love it as it has changed my life in a better way.
What do you think about this campaign:
In my some years of experience I have seen that women in general is afraid of technologies and is not capable of using it as men does just because lack of exposure. I am happy that I got the right platforms and the right opportunities to be in a profession which I love. I want to speak for women who are everywhere but unable to cope up with their day to day life and fellow men folk in the use of technology for any positive work! Because use of technology and understanding it can empower us if done in a right manner. I want to learn more from all who are already pioneers in these fields.
